Rachel Khoo profile cooking MR

The Island's biggest summer show welcomes Britain's hottest food star Rachel Khoo along with a packed food theatre line-up celebrating the best in local food producers.

TV chef and bestselling author Rachel Khoo, well known for Little Paris Kitchen and Rachel Khoo's Kitchen Notebook, will be the star name at this year's Garlic Festival. Rachel will be cooking in the Food Theatre and signing books as part of the Sunday line-up.

Rachel Khoo says: "I'm really excited to be appearing at the legendary Isle of Wight Garlic Festival. I've heard so much about it and the Isle of Wight is well known as a great food producing region. I'm really looking forward to a real foodie weekend!"

Garlic Festival promoter David Holmes adds: "We're thrilled to welcome Rachel to our food theatre line-up, which is bigger than ever this year. Look out for offers and ticket giveaways on social media - Rachel herself is giving away tickets via her website: www.rachelkhoo.com.

This year's expanded theatre kitchen will feature demonstrations all weekend from talented chefs and foodie experts, showcasing the best in local produce. Colin and Natasha Boswell from Newchurch's Garlic Farm will be hosting demonstrations on both days, along with Anna Sacchini, chef/proprietor of Michelangelo in Ryde and there's a welcome return for Salina Rahim who will be demonstrating Malaysian cuisine, using garlic – of course!

There's also a huge variety of food and producers on-site for the weekend, with handmade pickles, sauces, jams, artisan cheeses, breads, wine and cider all available. The field kitchens will be serving-up a wide variety of top quality hot tasty food.

The Garlic Farm will be offering the largest selection of garlic varieties in our giant garlic marquee. You'll be amazed at the range of products on offer too, including fudge, ice cream, popcorn, biscuits, scones, sweetcorn and mushrooms, all infused with the unique flavor of Isle of Wight garlic. Quench your thirst in the big beer tent and enjoy fabulous locally brewed ales and ciders. Check out the tea tent too for cream teas, pastries and tasty snacks.

This year's Garlic Festival will be our most foodie focused event yet. It's the Island's biggest summer show and really does has something for everyone, regardless of age.

We're announcing our full entertainment line up soon, including displays, children's entertainers and live music. With family tickets priced at only £25 it's definitely an event not to be missed.
